I describe myself as a teacher and have been one for the last 20 years. Before teaching, I worked as a research chemist in industry for 10 years. This background allows me to share my real world experiences with my students.
I have helped students learn in traditional classes for about 20 years. I was one of the first in Florida to teach chemistry online in 1997. I have a B.S. in chemistry from McNeese State University in Lake Charles, Louisiana, a doctorate in organic chemistry from the University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg, and did postdoctoral research at Texas Tech University. My education also includes a lot of computer science and I have written commercially published computer aided instructional software.
I have been helping students with general chemistry, organic chemistry, allied health chemistry, and physical science at the collegiate level for over 20 years.
My hobbies are exercise, dogs, and science fiction.
